Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1396605A2] The sealing device comprises C-section holding rails (3, 4) fixable on the building outside wall (1) either side of the opening (2) to hold slot-in cover plates (5). The free arms of the holding rails are bent back inwards towards the base and have catches at their free edges. When the plates are inserted into the rails from above clamping members with conforming catches are inserted and fixed at the free edges. Screws are then inserted in the clamping members to screw down the cover plates. Independent claim describes clamping member as rectilinear or angled member with spring-biased clamping means.
