Abstract (en)
A notification method and system for notifying a party of travel status of a vehicle (19) in relation to a vehicle stop are disclosed. The method comprises the steps of: (a) monitoring travel data associated with the vehicle (19); (b) communicating with a telephone interface (29) associated with the party when the vehicle (19) is a predetermined proximity of the vehicle stop; and (c) wherein the telephone interface (29), when called, exhibits a distinctive ring sound that is different than another ring sound capable of being exhibited by the telephone interface (29). <IMAGE>
