[origin: WO02096743A1] Wall-mounted holder (1) retains an article, such as a bicycle, on a wall to which bracket (6) is attached. When a bicycle wheel is urged against proximal ends of jaws (3-4) they pivot at hinges (9) on support (2) and move to the closed position. Releasable locking accompanies this closing motion when flexible arms (21) on jaws (3-4) are urged against faces of a wedge-shaped retainer (not shown) on frame (2) until hook-like ends (23) lock behind shoulders on the retainer. Pressure by the wheel on the distal ends of jaws (3-4) serves to release the wheel from holder (1) being accompanied by unlocking of hooks (23) from the shoulders, flexure of legs (21) then assisting opening of jaws (3-4).
