Abstract (en)
The method of feeding cigarettes (4) involves using a feed drum (2) with a high vacuum to hold the cigarettes in place. The cigarettes are released onto an extractor drum (3). The vacuum holding the cigarettes onto the feed drum is stopped and that on the extractor drum created during the transfer procedure. The high vacuum can be lifted by air pressure. claims include a conveyor using the method and a cigarette making machine using the conveyor.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Fördern von stabförmigen Artikeln (4) der tabakverarbeitenden Industrie, insbesondere Zigarette, wobei die Artikel (4) auf einer Fördertrommel (2) mittels eines Haltevakuums gehalten werden und in einem Entnahmefall ein Artikel (4) in einem Übergabebereich (5) an eine Entnahmetrommel (3) übergeben wird. Die Erfindung wird dadurch weitergebildet, daß im Entnahmefall das Haltevakuum an der Fördertrommel (2) aufgehoben wird und ein Haltevakuum an der Entnahmetrommel (3) angelegt wird. Darüber hinaus betrifft die Erfindung eine Vorrichtung zum Fördern von stabförmigen Artikeln (4) der tabakverarbeitenden Industrie, insbesondere Zigaretten, mit wenigstens einer Fördertrommel (2) und einer Entnahmetrommel (3), die zum Festhalten von Artikeln (4) mit jeweils einem Haltevakuum beaufschlagbar sind, sowie eine Maschine der tabakverarbeitenden Industrie, insbesondere Filteransetzmaschine. <IMAGE>
