[origin: EP1398285A1] The air control for an air consuming printer has a compressed air source to produce an overpressure air flow to an ejector of smaller inlet and larger outlet size during a cycle of the printing machine. There is a timed switchable closure valve between the air pressure source and the ejector. The valve controls the radial connection (7) of the ejector (3) with the ambient air and the outlet (5) of the ejector to a compressed air consumer.
