[origin: EP1398292A1] Control device for a lifting platform has: ultrasonic transmitter (1) and receiver (2) for measuring the height of the platform; an evaluation unit (3) that processes the signals from transmitter and receiver to determine platform height (h); at least one actuator (5) for raising or lowering the platform and a control unit (4) that controls the actuator based on the measured height and a height that is to be set. The invention also relates to a corresponding lifting platform or ramp for a motor vehicle that is equipped with an inventive control device.
