Abstract (en)

The different window forms are used and information about window forms used is stored in side information for coded coefficients. The sub band signal group (SB1,SB2) with given sequence of window forms different from corresponding sequence of window forms used to process sub band signal group (SB3-SB32) are stored with side information about window switching configuration type instead of window forms. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) method for decoding an audio signal; (2) apparatus for encoding an audio signal; and (3) apparatus for decoding an audio signal.
