The lamp has a discharge vessel (1) with a tubular section (10) of transparent ceramic with inner diameter less than or equal to 2.0 mm., two electrodes (2,3) for producing a gas discharge with ends opposite each other in the tubular section at less than or equal to 10 mm. apart and an ionisable, mercury-free filling as the discharge medium consisting of Xenon with a cold fill pressure of at least 2000 hPa and metal halogenides.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Hochdruckentladungslampe für Kraftfahrzeugscheinwerfer mit einer quecksilberfreien ionisierbaren Füllung, die aus Xenon mit einem Kaltfülldruck von mindestens 2000 hPa und Metallhalogeniden besteht. Das Entladungsgefäß (1) besitzt einen rohrförmigen, aus einer transparenten Keramik bestehenden Abschnitt (10) mit einem Innendurchmesser kleiner oder gleich 2 mm und darin angeordneten Elektroden (2, 3) mit einem Abstand kleiner oder gleich 10 mm. <IMAGE>
