Abstract (en)
Method for packing a material web roll in which a packing web is wound helically around the roll. Prior to packing the requirement or length of the packing material web is determined and a corresponding length is wound around an intermediate storage unit prior to packing the material web roll by twisting the intermediate storage unit around it. An Independent claim is made for a device for packing a material web roll comprising a packing web roll (20) separate from a packing web dispenser (12) and an intermediate store (17) that is wound with a predetermined amount of packing web from the packing web roll.

Es wird ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung (1) zum Verpacken einer Materialbahnrolle (2) angegeben, bei dem eine Verpackungsbahn (3) schraubenlinienförmig um die Materialbahnrolle (2) herumgeführt wird. Man möchte eine derartige Verpackung schneller vornehmen können. Hierzu ist vorgesehen, daß der Bedarf an Verpackungsbahn (3) für die zu verpackende Materialbahnrolle (2) ermittelt wird, eine dem Bedarf entsprechende Länge der Verpackungsbahn (3) von einer Verpackungsbahnrolle (20) auf einen Zwischenspeicher überführt wird und die Verpackungsbahn (3) von Zwischenspeicher (17) aus um die Materialbahnrolle (2) herumgeführt wird. <IMAGE>
