Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1400476A1] The arrester device comprises an actuating mechanism (3, 17) which is arranged so that it acts through a brake mechanism (8) on the brake element (7) so that this is held controlled away from the guide face of the guide rail. The brake element can be a catch roller. The abutment (5) is arranged in relation to a holding element (4, 6) so that an interspace is produced between same which narrows down opposite the travel direction of the drive cab. The operating mechanism has an electromagnet (3).
