Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1400484A1] The chain hoist has a drive motor (2), gearing (3) and chain wheel (5). The chain wheel (5) faces the drive motor on its output end (19) and the outer circumference of the chain wheel extends into the imaginary extension of the outer contour of the motor. The outer circumference of the chain wheel can extend up to a quarter of the diameter into this extension. The drive motor has a motor shaft (11) set parallel with the gear output shaft (4) for the chain wheel.
