Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1400748A1] The headlamp has a reflector (80) and a transparent beam deflector placed in front of the reflector. The reflector is shaped to provide a flat-topped beam. The beam deflector controls the horizontal spread of the beam, without modifying the vertical spread. A prism (81) is formed on one surface of the reflector to provide a stepped cut-off line at the top of the beam.
