Abstract (en)
A heating unit (11) is intended to be mounted in a cooking chamber (3) of a cooking oven (1) provided with an extraction system (16, 18, 19, 20) for extracting fumes and vapours from the interior of the cooking chamber (3). The heating unit comprises one or more heating elements (8, 8') capable of heating the dishes disposed within the cooking chamber (3), catalyst means (22) capable of lowering the oxidation temperature of the substances contained in the said vapours and fumes, conduction means (21, 17) capable of conveying the extracted vapours and fumes through the catalyst means, wherein the catalyst means are disposed in a relationship of heat exchange with at least one of the heating elements (8, 8') in order to utilize the heat thereof. <IMAGE>
