Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1273346A1] The multi-channel fluid dispenser takes the fluid (14) at a reservoir plate (10) with a number of hollow cavities (12) and project the fluid to a receiving plate (16) as a biochip. A number of supple channels (26) are in a converging configuration, where one of their ends is extended into the hollow cavities and the other ends are gathered into a miniaturized grid. The multi-channel fluid dispenser takes the fluid (14) at a reservoir plate (10) with a number of hollow cavities (12) and project the fluid to a receiving plate (16) as a biochip. A number of supple channels (26) are in a converging configuration, where one of their ends is extended into the hollow cavities and the other ends are gathered into a miniaturized grid. The channels are filled from their ends in the hollow cavities. A droplet of the fluid is ejected from the other ends of the channels, towards the biochip, which is of glass or a rigid plastics. The channels are shaped in supple side plates (18). The fluid droplet ejection is by piezo electrical impulses.
