Abstract (en)
[origin: WO03004905A1] The invention concerns a speed transmission apparatus, comprising a first rotary crankcase (3), a double planetary gearset, a first rotation transmission (12, 20, 21) arranged at an intermediate output of the first gearset, a second rotation transmission (14) arranged at an intermediate input of the second gearset, a first intermediate shaft (20) arranged in one of said first and second transmission, a first electric compression brake (24) acting on the first intermediate shaft (20) and capable of modifying a rotational speed thereof, and drive means (25) electrically connected to the first compression brake (24), an electrical connection capable of being provided between the first compression brake (24) and a second compression brake (26) whereof the effect is to accelerate the second intermediate shaft (23) by the braking effect exerted on the first intermediate shaft (20) by the compression brake, the energy released by the compression brake (24) being thus recovered by the compression brake (26) and transmitted by the latter to a second intermediate shaft (23).
