Abstract (en)
During an initial induction phase, the sensor signal level is measured when a single sheet (2) is detected and then when multiple sheets are detected with one individual sheet being followed by another. A processor (6) is then used to calculate threshold values on the basis of the measured signal levels, so that a distinction can be made between a stack containing n sheets and a stack containing n + 1 sheets, where n =1-3. Following this induction phase, the threshold values can be used to detect single or multiple sheets during a working phase.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betrieb wenigstens eines Sensors (4) zur Erfassung von Bögen (2) in einer bogenverarbeitenden Maschine 1. Während einer Einlernphase erfolgt ein zeitlich aufgelöstes Erfassen der Signalspiegel des Sensors (4) bei der Detektion eines Einfachbogens und nachfolgender Detektion von Mehrfachbögen, wobei sukzessive einem Einfachbogen ein weiterer Bogen (2) hinzugefügt wird. Darauf erfolgt eine Berechnung von Schwellwerten Sn,n-1 in einer Auswerteeinheit (6) anhand der gemessenen Signalpegel zur Unterscheidung jeweils eines Bogenstapels aus n und n +1 Bögen (2), wobei n wenigstens den Bereich n = 1,2,3 umfasst. Schließlich erfolgt während einer auf die Einlernphase folgenden Betriebsphase anhand der eingelernten Schwellwerte die Detektion von Einfach- und Mehrfachbögen. <IMAGE>
