Abstract (en)
The applicator (3) to apply a coating directly to the moving surface of a paper or cardboard web (2) running over a counter surface (1), using a liquid or paste coating medium (M), has a counter flow unit (4) directly in front of it in the direction (L) of web travel. The counter flow unit is connected to a supply (5) of compressed air or steam. The counter flow unit has walls (4.1,4.2), each with a guide surface (4.3,4.4), forming a jet channel (4.5) between them with a jet opening (4.6).

Bei einem Auftragswerk zum direkten Auftragen eines flüssigen oder pastösen Mediums (M) auf eine laufende Faserstoffbahn (2), insbesondere aus Papier oder Karton, die über eine Gegenfläche (1 ) läuft und der wenigstens ein Auftragsaggregat (3) zugeordnet ist, welches das Medium (M) an die Faserstoffbahn (2) abgibt, ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, dass bezogen auf die Laufrichtung (L) der Faserstoffbahn (2) unmittelbar vor dem Auftragsaggregat (3) eine Gegenströmeinrichtung (4) angeordnet ist. <IMAGE>
