[origin: EP1403454A1] A safety device (26) housed inside the door (2) next to the lock (6) is designed to cooperate with the support part (13) of the outside actuator (11) in the event of a given acceleration force acting in the vehicle cross- direction arising, preventing the outer door panel (5) being straightened out in the outwards direction. The lock is secured to the inner door panel (4). The actuator for releasing the lock via the outside handle has a support part secured to the inside of the outer panel and a pivotable pull-handle on the outside of the door for opening the latter.
