Abstract (en)
[origin: WO02094931A1] The invention concerns an elastomeric suspension spring useful for supporting the load of a motor vehicle, having both reduced creep and enhanced torsional toughness, and a suspension articulation including said spring. The inventive elastomeric suspension spring (14) consists of a crosslinked rubber composition based on: a) natural rubber in an amount not less than 60 parts by weight for 100 parts of diene elastomer(s) (pce), b) a filler, and c) a sulphur crosslinking system comprising at least a crosslinking accelerator, and is such that said filler comprises, in a mass fraction more than 55 %: d) a carbon black whereof the grade varies from 600 to 900, said composition comprising in that case a total amount of filler ranging between 10 to 60 pce, or e) an inert white filler, said composition comprising in that case a total amount of filler ranging between 10 to 30 pce, said crosslinking system comprising 0.7 to 1.2 pce of sulphur and being such that the sulphur/crosslinking accelerator mass ratio varies from 0.15 to 2.70.
