Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1405942A1] Performing tuck-in operation in a tuck-in device of shuttleless loom for folding back a weft end of picked weft inside a shedding of warp includes allowing injection of airflow inoperative or injecting first air flow during the injection of air flow(s) in response to an instruction from a loom based on a stoppage cause of the loom not to fold back the weft end inside the shedding of the warp. An independent claim is also included for a tuck-in device comprising tuck-in nozzle(s) and an airflow supply device. The airflow supply device comprises a pressure air source, closing valves which open or close to permit or not permit supply of pressurized air from the pressure air source to the tuck-in nozzles, and a closing valve controller for controlling the closing valves. A weft end of a picked weft is folded back inside a shedding of a warp by injecting airflow from the tuck-in nozzles after the weft end is gripped. The closing valve controller stops the opening of at least one of the closing valves in response to an instruction from a loom based on the stoppage cause of the loom.
