Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03004587A1] The invention relates to a method for production of medium distillates from the residue produced by a Fischer-Tropsch unit, comprising an optional fractionation to give at least one heavy fraction with initial boiling point of 120-200 DEG C, optionally hydrotreating said heavy fraction, or said residue, then bringing the above into contact with a first amorphous hydrocracking/hydroisomerisation catalyst containing at least one noble group VIII metal, the residue obtained being distilled, then the residual fraction which boils above the medium distillates and/or part of the medium distillates is brought into contact with a second hydrocracking/hydroisomerisation catalyst which contains at least one noble group VIII metal. The invention further relates to an installation.
