Abstract (en)
[origin: WO03006820A1] The invention relates to a fuel injection valve (1) for a fuel injection system of internal combustion engines, comprising a piezo-electric or magnetostrictive actuator (14), which activates a valve closing body (3) arranged on a valve needle (2) by means of a hydraulic coupler (35a), said closing body co-operating with a valve seat (5) to form a seal seat (6). The coupler (35a) consists of a pressure cylinder (34), a pressure cylinder support (35), which is connected to the pressure cylinder (34), and a pressure piston (33) which is led into said pressure cylinder (34), which form a pressure chamber (37), and a coupler spring element (38), which is situated between the pressure piston (33) and the pressure cylinder (34), generating pre-tension. A coupler valve closing body (41) and a coupler valve seat (42) co-operate to form a coupler valve seal seat (42) by means of the spring force of the coupler spring element (38), and the pressure chamber (37) of the coupler (35a) is connected to a fuel supply (44) via a supply bore (36) in the pressure piston (33) or in the pressure cylinder support (35) and via the coupler valve seal seat (43).
