Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1407876A1] The waste compactor comprises a reception tank (2) for the waste and a rotating compacting head (1) comprising a rotating shredding roller (11). The compactor also comprises a pressure compacting plate (3) which compresses waste against the bottom of the tank. There are means for moving the compacting head from its inactive position to its active position when the plate is in the inactive position.
