[origin: EP1407980A1] The merchandising display holder and protector (1) for a hand knife has a hook (3) for attachment to a stand and a protective sleeve (4) to enclose the blade. The sleeve is connected to the hook by frangible bridging joints (9). The sleeve is connected to the hook at its closed upper end and can have a temporary stop to hold the blade in place.
