Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1408002A1] A bottle opener removes crown corks from e.g. sparkling wine bottles. The opener has a handle (3) with two pivoting (5, 7) arms which are located on opposite sides of the bottle neck. Together the two arms form an essentially bell-shaped housing around the bottleneck and crown cork, with tongues (8, 10) engaging between the crown and bottle rim.
