[origin: US2004050521A1] A wire foil for a paper production installation has a supporting strip and plates fixed to the latter. The plates are mutually adjoining ceramic plates. The supporting strip and the plates of ceramic material are formed, on the mutually contacting surfaces, with mutually facing recesses, in which connecting elements are anchored. The connecting elements are fixed in the recesses in the plates of ceramic material by a form fit, and plates located beside one another are fixed to the supporting strip by at least one common connecting element extending over the joint.
