[origin: EP1408172A1] Component (55) comprises a number of sheet metal cassettes (11), each having a spine (13), two webs (15) lying at right angles to the spine and facing in the same direction, and two flanges (17) on the webs. The cassettes are arranged adjacent to each other so that they are positioned web on web and these webs are joined together. The component has at least one first sheet metal cassette formed from a sheet metal with a first thickness and at least one second sheet metal cassette formed form a sheet metal with a second greater thickness. The first cassette is formed by rolling and the webs of the first cassette and the second cassette lie against each other over the length of at least one of the two sheet metal cassettes. Preferred Features: The roll-formed first sheet metal cassette has a sheet metal thickness of 1.5-2, preferably 1.5-1.8 mm in the case of high grade sheet steel, and of 2-3, preferably 2-2.5 mm in the case of normal sheet steel.
