Abstract (en)

[origin: US2004028376A1] The present invention relates to an image recording apparatus arranged for performing variable-speed reproducing processing easily without controlling timing. Data-for-reproducing 111c and 111d to be recorded on a track 11 are positioned above and below separately. Image data for normal reproducing is stored in one of them as data area for normal reproducing. Data for variable-speed reproducing is recorded in the other as a data area for variable-speed reproducing. Here, the image data for normal reproducing is continuously recorded in each of the track 11. On the other hand, the same image data for variable-speed reproducing is recorded in every 15 tracks when the variable-speed reproducing speed is a maximum of 15x speed. The present invention can be applied to an image recording/reproducing apparatus.
