[origin: WO0078221A1] The invention relates to a surgical, grooved director for collecting tissue in a minimally invasive manner, comprising a longitudinal hollow body, an opening in the area of the distal end of said hollow body and an opening in the area of the proximal end of the hollow body for receiving or discharging tissue. The director also comprises a ring or loop-shaped electrically conductive cutting element which can be extended telescopically from the hollow body and can be connected to a high-frequency voltage source, for cutting out tissue in the area surrounding the distal opening of the hollow body.
