[origin: WO0125061A1] The invention relates to a drive authorisation system (1) comprising a circuit configuration (2) for activating a plurality of vehicle functions, especially starting the engine. The inventive drive authorisation system is characterised by: a turn selector which can be moved between a start position (8) and any of a plurality of other positions, including first and second positions (9, 10), which are linked to separate vehicle functions. The inventive system also comprises pre-tensioning means (31) for replacing the selector from any of the other positions into the start position when the selector is released by a user of the circuit configuration. The circuit configuration is preferably provided for the use with a transponder key and the start position preferably corresponds to an electrically insulated, neutral position of the selector in such a way that said selector is automatically replaced into said position in order to prevent that the vehicle is left in an inadequate state when the driver leaves the vehicle with the transponder.
