[origin: EP1152092A1] A swivel mounting for retrofitting to an earth working machine, e.g. an excavator, has an eccentric plate (11) with mountings for the upper bearing (16) and the lower bearing (13) and with the relative setting of the plate moving the upper, working part of the machine in any selected direction i.e. to move the centre of mass of the machine when working on slopes. The fitting can be an eccentric plate or a sliding fitting.
