Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03008893A1] The invention concerns a system for elevation and directional angle aiming of a weapon (1) comprising first means for directional angle aiming of the weapon along a large angular clearance relative to a first axis of rotation (G1). It comprises first means for positioning (2a) in elevation the weapon along a large clearance relative to the first axis of rotation in elevation offset relative to the weapon centre of gravity, second means (2c, 4) for positioning in elevation the weapon (1) linked to the first means (2a) along a small clearance relative to a second axis of rotation in elevation, and second means for positioning (2b) in directional angle the weapon relative to an axis of rotation (G2) in directional angle, the axes (S2 and G2) passing in the proximity the weapon centre of gravity. The first axis of rotation (S1) is at the rear of the centre of gravity of the weapon (1). The first positioning means (2a) ensures the articulation of the weapon (1) relative to a frame (11) whereon the latter is mounted about the first axis of rotation (S1).
