[origin: EP1410742A1] The mattress is assembled of a soft upper layer and an adjustable lower part. The lower mattress is assembled of an outer frame (1) containing one permanently positioned module (2) and two adjustable sprung modules (10A). Each of the adjustable modules (10A) is provided with specifically shaped grooves at their outer surfaces, close to the lower edge, which can be engaged with swivel mounted elements (4) attached to the inner surface of the frame (1) in order to keep the module (10A) at a particular height.
