Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1410781A1] The walking stick comprises a manual gripping part (5) and a long part (1) the bottom end of which is supported on the ground. The gripping part encloses a piston (9), a spring (11), a nut (12) and a pre-compression adjusting screw (4). The gripping part and long part are articulated by a spindle (3). The screw adjusts the amplitude of the projection of the long part frontward during lifting the bottom end from the ground restoring the elastic energy stored during the support of the hand on the gripping part when the bottom end is supported on the ground.
