Abstract (en)
The wheel steering for controlling the boat rudder comprises a base surmounted by a long column on which a rotating wheel (12) is mounted. There are means for controlling the rudder by the wheel which can be neutralized. The column is pivoted to the base so as to allow a service position where the neutralization means are de-activated and a rest position where the wheel is angularly offset by a quarter turn relative to the service position when the neutralization means are activated. An Independent claim is included for a boat with a cockpit fitted with wheel steering.

La barre à roue convient à la commande du gouvernail d'un bateau et comporte : une embase surmontée d'une colonne allongée selon un axe ; une roue (12) montée tournante sur la colonne selon un axe transversal ; des moyens de commande de gouvernail ; elle comporte en outre des moyens de neutralisation des moyens de commande de gouvernail et, de plus, la colonne est montée pivotante par rapport à l'embase, autour de son axe, de manière à admettre une position de service (S) dans laquelle lesdits moyens de neutralisation sont désactivés et au moins une position de repos (R) dans laquelle la roue (12) est décalée angulairement d'au moins l'ordre d'un quart de tour par rapport à la position de service (S), lesdits moyens de neutralisation étant activés. <IMAGE>
