Abstract (en)

A cutting device for cutting the end of the strap after the hoop-casing process. The cutting device has a cutting tool (100) with a number of cutting teeth (30) arranged next to each other on its cutting surface. The projection (22) of the cutting teeth in a plane perpendicular to the cutting edge (20) of the cutting tool has a cutting surface perpendicular to the cutting edge of the cutting tool and a cutting surface angled by 30-50, preferably 37-42, especially 39.2 degrees. The hoop-casing machine has a tension device with a tension drive for tightening the strap, a sealing device for sealing the two ends of the strap, and/or several backstops for fixing the strap on the hoop-casing machine. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Cutting device for use in the above hoop-casing machine; (2) Cutting tool for a cutting device; (3) Production of the above cutting tool; and (4) Process for separating a strap in a hoop-casing machine.

Um bei einer Schneideeinrichtung für ein Umreifungsgerät zur Umreifung von Packgut mit einem Band wirkungsvoll zu vermeiden, dass das Schneidmesser das Band teilweise kratzt, anstatt es zu schneiden, wird vorgeschlagen, ein Schneidwerkzeug (100) einzusetzen, das an seiner Schneidfläche nebeneinander angeordnete Vielzahl von Schneidzähnen aufweist. Die Projektion (24) der Schneidzähne (30) auf eine Ebene senkrecht zur Schneidkante (20) des Schneidwerkzeuges (100) hat eine im Wesentlichen zur Schneidkante (20) des Schneidwerkzeuges (100) senkrechte Schneidfläche. Der Neigungswinkel der Schneidfläche ist dabei 30° bis 50°, vorzugsweise 37° bis 42°. <IMAGE>
