[origin: EP1411166A2] A papermaking assembly incorporates a travelling screen with a frame under a ceramic rim. The frame has a series of parallel cross-members (12), each bearing a series of combined wipers/supports arranged in regular arrays. Each row of wipers/supports is laterally transposed with respect to the adjacent row. The wiper/supports are fixed to the parallel cross member below. The cross-members are fixed to the surrounding frame. The wiper/support top surfaces are domed and approx. in-line with the ceramic surround.
