Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1411174A2] A ground compacting machine has a lower section with an eccentric mass and a ground compacting plate, and an upper section with controls. The two sections are separated by angled dampers fitted each side of the machine. The dampers have elastic blocks mounted on angled support rails and can accommodate lateral as well as vertical vibrations. The machine is fitted to the operating arm of a JCB or other vehicle via a grip coupling on the top of the machine.
