Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1411187A2] The roller mounted cover for a repair pit has multiple parallel support beams with their ends on the edges of the pit. The beams are connected to drive chains parallel to guide rails for movement of the planks. The chains drive the planks for extension and retraction compared to the pit opening. The end supports for the beams (10) run on rollers on the rails (13) with their axes forming extensions of the steering axle (14) of the chairs. The rollers can have self lubricating bearings.
