Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1411214A2] The switched valve support unit (1), for an internal combustion motor valve, has an outer mantle surface (2) as an outer section (3) for fitting into the motor cylinder head. Its hollow interior (4) contains a component (5) with axial movements, with a head (6) at one end supporting a cam follower running with a hydraulic play compensation unit (7). The outer section and the axially moving component are selectively linked together by a coupling (8) when in axially displaced relative settings. The valve support has a single flow supply for the coupling and the play compensation unit.
