Abstract (en)
The pressure-limiting valve (56) has a pressure side coupled to the high pressure region of the fuel injection system and a valve element (74) biased against a valve seat (72) and providing a hydraulic connection between an inlet and an outlet dependent on the pressure difference between them. The outlet of the pressure-limiting valve is coupled to the feed space (60) of a high pressure pump for the fuel injection system. An Independent claim for a fuel injection system for an IC engine is also included.

Ein Druckbegrenzungsventil (56) einer Kraftstoffhochdruckpumpe (30), das während des Förderhubs der Kraftstoffhochdruckpumpe (30) nicht öffnet, selbst wenn der Öffnungsdruck des Druckbegrenzungsventils kurzzeitig überschritten wird, da das Ventilglied (74) des Druckbegrenzungsventils (56) während des Förderhubs von beiden Seiten mit dem im Förderraum der Hochdruckpumpe (30) herrschenden Druck beaufschlagt wird. Erst während des Saughubs der Hochdruckpumpe, wenn der Druck im Förderraum (60) absinkt, kann das Druckbegrenzungsventil (56) öffnen, wenn die Druckdifferenz zwischen einer Hochdruck-Kraftstoffleitung (42) und dem Förderraum (60) der Kraftstoffhochdruckpumpe (30) einen vorgegebenen Betrag übersteigt. <IMAGE>
