[origin: WO03011802A1] The invention relates to the compound (1S/R)-1-[(1S/R)-1,5-dimethyl-hex-5-enyl]-4-methyl-cyclohex-3-en-1-ol(iso- beta -bisabolol) of formula A and to its individual configuration isomers. Iso- beta -bisabolol has a very strong flowery, lily of the valley-like and extremely pleasant odor so that just small amounts of said substance can bring about a sensorially perceptible modification of a fragrance or (basic) aroma composition.
