[origin: FR2826463A1] A system for mounting spectacle sidearms is characterised in comprising a screw (2), installed approximately horizontally and approximately perpendicular or parallel to the plane of a lens (1), the thread (4) of which runs towards the exterior of the lens, proud of the edge of the lens (1). When the sidearm mounting screw is installed approximately parallel to the plane of a lens the above is free to co-operate with a nut (18) and is proud of the edge of the lens (1). The invention further relates to a pair of spectacles, fitted with the above mounting system and spectacle sidearms made of wire (20, 21), comprising a nut (18) in the form of an internally-threaded dowel, one extremity of which is almost closed whilst leaving space for the wire (20, 21), the end of which facing the dowel (18) has a widened section to engage in the dowel, whilst leaving the above free to rotate.
