Abstract (en)

[origin: WO03012924A1] The invention relates to a device for producing secondary radiation diagrams which are respectively arranged between horizontally staggered main radiation diagrams of a phased array antenna system, said diagrams having the same polarisation and said device being used in a radio communication system having a plurality of subscribers. In order to control the phased array antenna system, a Butler matrix (BM) is connected upstream therefrom in such a way that a subscriber signal (TN1, TN2, TN3) is applied precisely to an input of the Butler matrix in order to produce a main radiation diagram, and that a subscriber signal is applied precisely to two adjacent inputs of the Butler matrix in order to produce a secondary radiation diagram.
