A shaped body (2) has an anchor (3) for attachment to the frame (T) of the chair, and a linkage (4) for pivotal connection to a tubular end (E) of the stirrup. An abutment surface (5) of the shaped body restrains the stirrup from pivoting relative to the frame, with the stirrup resting on the ground.
