Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zur Handhabung von ebenen Drahtbindeelementvorformen, wobei die Vorrichtung mindestens eine Transporteinheit (20) aufweist, vermittels der die ebenen Drahtbindeelementvorformen (41 ) aufgenommen werden, sowie eine Einsteckeinheit (20) mit mindestens einer Einsteckbaugruppe (100), um die Drahtbindeelementvorform (41) in die Lochreihe (12) eines Stapels blattförmiger Bedruckstoffe (10) einzustecken. <IMAGE>
