Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1413657A1] The shed-forming mechanism for a Jacquard loom consists of a series of hooks (13) moved by a blade between a top position in which it can be stopped by a selector and a bottom position. Each hook comprises a body (20) and a projecting tip (202) that interacts with the blade, and is additionally equipped with a metal strip (21) that interacts with the selector (16). The strip is attached to the body of the hook and capable of a relative displacement (F3) in the selector zone, the body being made from a synthetic material that is overmoulded onto part (211) of the strip and is supple enough to adapt to faults in the trajectories of the body and blade. The strip is able to slide in a housing and has an aperture that engages with a projection on the selector.
