Abstract (en)
The process involves heating a protective or decorative paint coated metal strip by an electromagnetic induction in a wedge furnace to vaporize solvents and ensure firing of the coating. The solvents are continuously extracted inside the furnace by injecting a gas at a temperature between 180 and 220 degree celsius which is higher than a solvent dew temperature that prevails inside the furnace atmosphere and extraction ducts.
