The coupler (1) is child proof which is provided by a locking member that is held in locking position by a spring. In the locking position the neutral conductor opening and the phase conductor opening are completely closed and the protective conductor opening is partly closed.

Bei einer elektrischen Kabelkupplung (1) für Netzstrom ist eine Kindersicherung vorgesehen, welche die Öffnungen (8, 9) für die Steckerstifte für den Neutralleiter und den Phasenleiter vollständig verschliesst und die Öffnung (7) für den Schutzleiter unvollständig verschliesst. Im inneren der Kupplung kann das entsprechende Sperrglied an einem vom Gehäuse der Kupplung unabhängigen Träger gehalten sein. Die Kupplung gibt verbesserte Sicherheit beim Einsatz von Verlängerungskabeln mit derartigen Kupplungen. <IMAGE> <IMAGE>
