[origin: WO03013239A2] The invention relates to methods for devitalising and conserving human and animal organs and tissue, preferably natural hollow organs and the complete components thereof, in particular blood vessels and coronary valves. The invention further relates to methods for production of matrices for the partial and full construction of organs and tissues and furthermore to organs and tissue, in particular natural and artificial hollow organs, which may be obtained by said method. The invention also relates to the clinical application and use of organs thus produced in clinical and veterinary medicine, preferably in coronary and vascular surgery and novel culture media.
